The Mainz State Philharmonic Orchestra invites you to the first Kids University at the Mainz State Theater. General Music Director Hermann Bäumer and the Mainz State Philharmonic Orchestra transport the research kids into the world of the symphony orchestra with Beethoven's Symphony No. 6. Can you paint with tones? Express feelings? Spark thunderstorms? YES you can! And the General Music Director himself will explain how a symphony orchestra can do it all in this morning session in the State Theater.

The young visitors can try out instruments and ask questions in the sound workshop in the hour before the Kids University begins.

The sound workshop will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Mainz State Theater. The Musical Kids University will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Great Hall. Participation in this Kids University is free, but every child will need an entrance ticket, which can be obtained in advance at the Mainz State Theater (phone +49 6131 2851-222).
